Stryder - WMMS Coffee Break Concert Part 1
On July 8, 1981 my band, Stryder played live on the air for the WMMS Coffee Break Concert. The broadcast originated from the stage of the legendary Agora in Cleveland in front of a live, enthusiastic audience. The on air mix was engineered by Kirk Yano from Agency Recording Studios located right above the Agora.
This is Part 2 of Stryder's WMMS Coffee Break Concert from July 8, 1981.
The 216 Project
The 216 Project is a diverse collective of musicians
from the Cleveland metro area who came together in the fall of 2020 to produce a
virtual recording during Covid-19 restrictions. Most of the musicians still have
yet to meet in person. This is a cover of Compared to What, which was released
in 1969 and has been recorded by many artists. This version takes it's
inspiration from the Les McCann/Eddie Harris live version. My keyboard playing
was inspired by Brian Auger's version. The song is accompanied by a video
produced by Joshua Nelson.
